Stuck with ‘database tables’ error.

    Some of our websites didn’t give MySQL users full permissions, for the sake of heightened security (seemed a good idea at the time). These appear to be the websites which have produced the error:
    “Yoast SEO was unable to create the database tables required and as such will not function correctly.”

    I understand this – but why, after giving the MySQL user full permissions, does the error still appear?

    I’ve tried removing the plug-in and reinstalling. I’ve also tried removing it, installing V13.5, then upgrading. But both of these approaches still leaves me with the same error plastered across the dashboard.

    Could Yoast provide a roadmap for resolving this, even when we’ve given the MySQL user full permissions as required?

    The latest version of Yoast doesn’t work with the latest WordPress version.

    I have the same problem. There must be a flag in the database that records whether the index upgrade occurred or not. I’m having a whale of a time looking for the flag ; that’s if it exists at all.

    Solved – apparently the table ‘wp_yoast_indexable’ was created already – which caused an error – removing the table ‘wp_yoast_indexable’ solved my problem.

    Yoast released a new patch. Update your extension to solve the problem.

    I know why the problem occured for me personally (MySQL user permissions) but my point is that having fixed this I still can’t resolve the issue and remove the message.

    Thanks. I have just tried upgrading to Version 14.0.2 but I’m still stuck with the warning box. ??

    Even though my permissions are full.

    All other websites I run (with full permissions) have updated fine. I have a feeling this message gets stuck, perhaps even if the plug-in update has been successful. Who knows?

    @franck74 14.0.2 was already installed. I hope the removing suggestion by @kratlusker will help, but I am not that good with databases to remove the _hierarchy table spontaneously. It might be a wp network thing that I have the wp_yoast_indexable_hierarchy table. So I wait for kratlusker to be sure.

    So it seems that Yoast has released a new version in order to correct this problem. I’ll close this topic now.
