stuck on step #1

  • Really a basic question, I suppose–

    Set-up instructions include re-naming a file:

    wp-config-sample.php TO wp-config.php

    Crazy, but I can’t determine how to edit the file name (tried using F2, right-click (no ‘rename’ options appear),
    etc. etc.

  • Are you using a Windows computer? if so then find that file on your computer, right-click and Rename…

    on a Mac I think you can just single-click the file and wait a second

    if the file is already on your FTP server most FTP programs let you right-click, Rename…

    (I don’t actually rename that file, I usually copy-paste that file, aka duplicate file, then I change the name of the Copy, that way I still have the Sample if I want to look at it again)
