    Hello

Our plugin settings page is stuck on “Review sync settings”. I think its broken the install after I had to disconnect the account due to the Sync function spamming the site with 30000 requests.
I’ve reconnected the account and still get stuck on the review page and no settings save either. Can I reset the plugin settings?

    Cheers

    Matt

@mookie4a4 thanks for writing in. I would offer a couple troubleshooting steps for this scenario.

    1. If you’re using any sort of object caching at all on the server side, please try emptying the cache and trying that same thing again.
    2. You may want to do a full disconnect / reconnect as well in the plugin to make sure it’s clearing out any stale data that might be impacting things too. Repeat step 1 after you disconnect.
    3. If you’re still running into trouble after doing both of those things above, I would make sure that you get Mailchimp support involved so we can look closer into your account and see if there’s any data that might need to be cleaned up to get your store to be installed.

The 30,000 requests can be for a few reasons too.

    1. You may have too many webhooks enabled on your list that are pointing to your server. You can simply go into your list settings and delete any duplicate webhooks that might be registered. Support can help you with this if you’re not familiar with that process.
    2. You may be updating a list with a bulk update or another API integration? The plugin is designed to listen for list member updates, which do send a webhook to your server, so it’s not abnormal if you’re doing bulk updates. If you’re not, it could very well be related to having too many hooks, which can most certainly be fixed.

Let’s start with this and see how far we get, but let us know if you’re still having trouble after you’ve done those steps ??

Thanks for getting back to me, I have tried Step 1 and 2 a few times with no difference. We are now in contact with mailchimp customer service to check our account. I do think it was when I deactivated then reactivated the plugin and clicked stop syncing. Seems our data is stuck.

    Cheers

@mookie4a4 If you’ve got them on an email thread – I would ask them if they can see more than one store connected to your account for that domain you’re trying to connect. If so, you might need to delete the store and start over again.

Another possible reason… did you happen to delete any Mailchimp audiences at all recently? Add new ones? There’s a few reasons that could be in play as well to be stuck.

Do you happen to see any “FATAL” logs at all on your server that show anything of substance? It’s really hard to tell from the outside what’s going on but I’m sure we can fix this with a little effort.

Hi there, we just wanted to check back with you to see if this was still a problem with our latest plugin (v4.1 at the time of this post). Please let us know when you get a moment, we’ll be happy to help troubleshoot further if necessary.

    Hello

We are now no longer with Mailchimp so have removed this plugin.

    Thanks for your help
