• I am new at WordPress so I’m not familiar with the terminology.

    My website is https://lafontworld.com

The front/landing page of my website is fixed on a default WP picture, and none of the other pages or menus show up on it, so I’m completely stuck, I’m just not able to remove it, can’t even access wherever it is to change it!

    PAGES:
    lafontworld.com/about-lafont-world
    lafontworld.com/blog
    lafontworld.com/contact-us
    lafontworld.com/gina
    lafontworld.com/olivier
    lafontworld.com/home
    lafontworld.com/shop

On these pages when you click on the ‘lafontworld’ logo at the top it takes you to the front/landing page, which has no links or menus to then go to any of the pages.

The Home page I have created has some photos and text, which I can see when I open it in the Pages dashboard/menu – however when you click on the link my edited page does not come up, it goes to that default WP photo.

I had previously fixed my front page:
    Settings >
    Reading >
    Front page displays >
    A static page >
    Front page: Home
    Posts page: Blog

    Please help with this problem.

  • Do you have any old files in your /public_html/ folder? Namely, look for a file named index.html

    Thanks for your response…

I’m new at WP, I don’t know where to look for a ‘/public_html/’ folder or a file ‘index.html’, please give directions where to find it.

the public_html directory is on the server. You will need to log in using an FTP client such as FileZilla or through your hosts file manager usually through cPanel or Plesk. Most hosts will be happy to help you set up an ftp client or show you how to access your control panel.

    Hope this helps.
