Login via FTP and remove all mu-plugins in wp-content/mu-plugins

    Hi

I have the same problem. I am not very technical. Do I login via FTP through my hosting company? My wp-admin is not accessable now and is simply a blank page?

Also, I migrated the website to a fresh WordPress install. Therefore, I am able to wipe WordPress and begin the migration again. Would this be easier and if so, what should I do prior to the migration to stop the same issue (sticks at the very end on “done activating mu-plugins)?

    Regards
    Jack

    Hi

Further to my last message, I checked with my hosting company and they confirm what I was seeing. They state that “I have checked and not found the mentioned folder on your cPanel account.” They refer to wp-content/mu-plugins.

Please advise how I can rectify this issue as there is currently no website visible.

In the meantime I will attempt the process again by deleting WordPress and installing the exported file again.

    Regards
    Jack

    Hi again

    I have fixed the problem.

For your information, and as previously indicated by the fact the import was sticking on wp-content/mu-plugins (must use plugins), I re-installed WordPress in C-Panel – Softaculous, but this time I did not tick any of the options for auto updates of WordPress, Themes or Plugins. I suggest that this was the issue, particularly as I understand that WordPress has now made its updates mandatory. I have also previously found issues with ticking these options (not updating), so I would recommend not ticking them to anyone using Softaculous to install WordPress, especially if using All-in-One WP Migration. Instead, for auto updates use a plugin.

    regards
    Jack
