Stuck on Dark Overlay insert screen, while editing in wordpress

  • Seem whenever I go to insert an image or a link, I get the dark overlay screen for inserting, but it stays stuck in that screen, I can not do anything except use the back button to escape.

    The screen looks like a lightbox or thickbox overlay where the edits tool comes up, except its all dark including the edit box, and this happens when I use the the insert images, add links, & paste tools.

  • Deactivate all plugins and check to see if this resolves the problem. If it does, activate the plugins one by one – checking the post after each re-activation – until you find the problematic plugin(s).
