• Hi. Since an update this morning, my website is now stuck in maintenance mode. I have tried clearing the cache, and checked on different devices. WordPress has a message saying an update failed, but when I click on that, the update page says all updates are complete.
    Thanks in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi debseftsouth,

There should be a “.maintenance” file in the root folder of your WordPress website, you need to connect WordPress server through FTP and go to the root directory and delete this “.maintenance” file. hopefully, your issue will be resolved.

Hi. Thank you for your reply.
Forgive me,but I have no idea where the root folder is, nor what FTP is and moreover, I’m not even getting an email message that you responded to my query… so I’m feeling a bit lost.
    Sorry.
    many thanks anyway ….

    Hello.
I have the free version of updraftplus. If I restore to July 31 will this resolve the problem I have?
    Many thanks

Yes, you can try by restoring the previous backup.
