due to other problems I was having with a WP + Woo Commerce install that I maintain I was exporting the database and other stuff to update a local installation to try to figure out what was wrong (add to cart not working) when the live website became stuck in maintenance mode.

I am still logged into the admin area and can load all admin pages ok but none of the front end pages will display, just the message

    Website Under Maintenance
Hi, our Website is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance
Please check back very soon. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I’ve tried searching for an answer but mostly have just come up with people looking for plugins to create a maintenance mode. There is no .maintenance file in the root so I created one then deleted it. The only difference that made was for the maintenance message to be displayed twice (one above the other) before I deleted it.

If you can please help me it will be greatly appreciated, this is a small one man operation with small margins, the website has been unable to take orders for two days now and I don’t want to let him down.

Hi Contentiskey, There are quite a lot of plugins mostly connected to Woocommerce and SEO but I have just deleted any inactive ones then made all the rest inactive, then reactivated them all one by one, turned out that it was All in One Migration that I still had open in another tab after an export/ import into my local site that failed. Site is now all back apart from the initial Woocommerce cart problem.

    Thanks for your help.

Happy to hear you were able to get it out of maintenance mode.

    Thank you ??

Had the same problem, no maintenance file anywhere… turns out the plugin at fault was WP All in one Migration!
