• I’m trying to autoupdate but it seems stuck on “unpacking update” for almost an hour. How long is it suppose to take to unpack and update to version 3.3?

I’m not proficient in codex so I do not want to try manually updating.

  • It should take less than a minute depending upon your server.

Hi, did you find a solution to this as I am having the same problem.

My site is locally stored at the moment.

I ended up manually updating it. It seemed to be a problem with my hosting server GoDaddy, I’m guessing.

As I noted in another post, mine seemed to stick at “installing upgrade” even though it had actually finished. On the first site, I waited and waited and when I thought it was taking too long checked the site itself, I found it was already done. It has happened twice, now. I’m on a dedicated server with quite a few of my own sites so I guess I may just have to deal with it, unless I’m missing something.

OK Thanks, on mine I looked in the log files for Apache and saw this error “httpd.exe: Could not reliably determine the server’s fully qualified domain name….” and found out that I have modify the httpd.conf file and set the “ServerName” directive to “ServerName localhost:80” and I restarted Apache and it worked. Hope this helps others too.
