• After uploading via filezilla, I go to refresh my site and it keeps coming up with:

“Welcome to your new 123-reg website!
If you’ve uploaded your site but are still getting this welcome
page try doing a SHIFT+Reload or a CTL+F5 – this will clear the cache.

Good luck with your new website!

You can delete this page or change it’s content.”

    Any suggestions?

    – Clear the browser cache if that doesn’t work try other browser.
    – If still no joy, you may also want to contact your hosting provider.

Go back to your server gain with FileZilla and look in the main folder of your website and see if there’s a file called ‘index.html’. There normally is. When you find that file delete it – but be sure ot leave the file called ‘index.php’ there. After that refresh the page in your browser and you’ll see your WordPress site.

    No Index.HTML.
Cleared the browser cache. No dice.
Contacted my hosting provider – no issues with my domain name or my hosting, and it is pointed correctly.

Still getting the above message on the site.

Currently the WP files are in /web/content/site. This is correct, right?

    This is correct, right?

You need to confirm that with your hosts. As every host is different, we can’t really advise on the correct server paths.

Confirmed that it was correct. I have re-uploaded the wp stuff and it at least gets me to the database connection details. However when I enter the DataBase info from I’d created from my wp-config.phb file, it comes back as incorrect details/local host is down.

I’ve confirmed the localhost isn’t down, and that I’ve got 2 additional DBases on the account. Neither of those I created. Would using either of those work or would it cause me (further) issues?

You can use any database that you have access to.

Would I have to amend the WP-config file first if I was to use any of the other databases?

Yes. You’d need to amend the database name and perhaps the database user.

Awesome, this sorted it. Thank you!
