Stuck at Set up Jetpack

    Was working on something else and had to deactivate Jetpack and now I’m stuck with Set up Jetpack button. There are no error displays just don’t want to go on to next step of set-up. Tried deleting the plugin and installing it again, that didn’t help.

    Jetpack is updated to latest wersion, but WordPress isn’t it’s on 5.2.4 and I have no intention on switching to 5.3 version any time soon.

    For what it’s worth, we can’t recommend you stay on older versions of WordPress. but I tested the site at https://jetpack.com/support/debug and it’s telling me XML-RPC is not responding correctly. Could you check the details at the debug site, then work those out? You’ll need to connect Jetpack to use many of its features.
