• I’m trying to backup to dropbox, but I can’t get past 57% creates archive & 87% restart will be executed now.

I use a local hosting company. I had to put this in my config: define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true); to make it even work. The job is saved in the temp uploads folder, but never gets to dropbox.

  • can you try the version from https://github.com/inpsyde/backwpup

    Hi Daniel,
I am facing the same problem as Jean has.
I downloaded the complete master zip, but I’m not sure what the next step is.

Can I replace all existing files within wp-content\plugins\backwpup folder?
Or do I need to uninstall the current backwpup plugin and install the downloaded zip file?

    Please help me out here.

    Thanks in advance

Replacin is all what you must do.

    Hi Daniel,

Thank you for the support. I am able to run the backup jobs again and they all finish successfully.

Next problem is that the next run for my jobs are (automatically?) set to “1 January 1970 at 02:00 by WP-CronInactive”.

In BackWPup settings Information tab “Server self connect:” shows “The HTTP response test get a false http status (404)”. When navigating to https://www.mydomain.nl/wp-cron.php it shows me a blank page. I think that’s correct.
WP Timezone is set to Amsterdam, and shows me the correct time.
I did not test to schedule a post in future to see if the post appears.
    Should I test this?

The site I’m working on can only be reached by adjusting the host file.

We are using BackWPup free edition.

Hope you can support on this.

Yes, please test scheduled posts tow.

it can be that the server can’t resolve it’s own hostname corectly. Go to commandline on the server and ping https://www.mydomain.nl. Than see the IP Adress that cames back. is it the IP of the Server? If not you must fix it.
