Stuck after writing a post! :(

  • Dunno, half the time, IE gets stuck after posting a new story… The post will show up just fine, however, the status bar gets stuck at around 38%. These are not 1000kb stories or anything, just short blurbs for the most part. I really can’t figure it out, since it seems random. Any help? Thanks!

  • Have you tried if it works with an alternative browser?

    Try disabling pinging, it could be getting hung trying to ping URLs or something.

    Ahh, that could explain it… is this gonna be fixed in the next release? ??

    It depends on where you are pinging.
    If I accidentally post, and having not unchecked the ‘Ping url’s in this post’ and I have an Amazon url in there, it takes a while. My guess is that because the url is not set up to return a reciprocal ping, WP just sits and waits, after all, it can’t know.
    If I ping a ‘pingable’ address though, everything is usually fine.
