Stubborn Hover

Hello,

To start, I am quite new with WP so please give me detailed instructions! Thank you so much in advance.

There are a pair of things I cannot seem to figure out. I am using the Photoria template, by the way.

So hover is driving me crazy. On the home page, there is no hover when the curser moves over category names. However, on blog posts on my home page, there is a hover when my mouse moves over the blog title and snippet. Also, when i click on a category and move to a section of the blog, there is then a hover around that category title.

I honesty don’t want any hover at ALL on my site. I have looked up ‘hover’ on my style sheet and changed every single hover to white (FFF) on my custom sheet. Not working.

If you could help me with this problem, I would be eternally grateful.

A second and smaller issue I have is:

My blog set up looks like squares in the form of a title, and below it, either a snippet or a picture. However, if you click on the snippet or the picture, nothing happens. You MUST click on the title.

Is there a way to have it so that if you click the entire square, whether it be snippet, image, or title, it takes you to the blog? Rather than just being able to click the title?
