• Hi Guys,

I’m working on a wordpress site for a restaurant, The main bulk of the pages are menu’s listing the dish, a description and a price multiple times. Is there a way to have it so each dish and its three elements could be entered in a form and show on the page in a structured way to make it easy for the client?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Martin

  • Hmmmm… I’m thinking you could work out a scheme of custom fields, and then you would need to prep your theme to display those fields for your page template in whatever fashion you want. Then you’d need to train your client to enter those fields as he/she is editing the page.

Nothing automatic, though, that I’m aware of.

No problem, Thanks for the help Flamenco, if anyone else knows of any other way please feel free to post!

There are some Template Plug-in’s – Post Template is one that saves a template that you can call up – one I tried was sort of like a copy and paste an old Post into the Post Editor that can be edited – I used it for some class listings where I wanted the same look and feel – then I changed the name, cost, location and such.

Not sure that is exactly what you want – but look in the Extend > Plug-ins for Templates – might find something that will help – can’t believe you are the first Restaurant with this problem.

Ive had a quick scout through but there doesn’t seem to be anything that can do it, ive Googled quite a few times as well but it seems everyone else has the same problem.
