    Hey there!

    Great plugin and all! ??

Problem with Google’s Structured Data Tool. It shows:

One of ratingCount or reviewCount must be provided.
The review has no reviewed item specified.
Failed to normalize the rating value.
Your rating value was out of the default range, you must provide best and worst values.

So, basically for AggregateRating only rating value is displayed.

Fixed planned or am I missing something?

    Thanks!

Can you provide a url at which i can see the page where this problem exists. This error is not one of the usual issues we run into, so I’d like to take a look.

    Thanks,

Charlie, it happens on my client’s website, which is under development right now. Is there a way I could provide you with link privately?

Also, just to note, I’ve modified your plugin as to include Admin’s reply to reviews – nice coding, by the way! ?? It was really quick and easy.

As for structured data, it’s all really in rich-reviews/shortcodes/rr-show.php, so I guess I’ll be able to fix it aswell.

Anyway, thanks for your reply! ??

I’m glad Rich Reviews has been pleasant to work with. The issue you describe above is seemingly with the Aggregate Review Snippet, which is actually output by rich-reviews/shortcodes/rr-snippet.php so that’s where you would want to look to fix it. You’ll see that reviewCount is provided for every possible output of the snippet, however it is set to display:none so that the data is available to the crawlers, but not actually displayed. This hasn’t been an issue in the past, however I am wondering if Google has begun rejecting hidden markup. If you would still be willing to privately provide me with a link that would be awesome just as I am curious as to finding the cause of the issue. If so you can email me at [email protected].

    Cheers,

Actually, Charlie, it was my mistake and you saved me lots of time by your remark – thank you! I wasn’t aware that snippet insertion is required for Google to see the data correctly. Now I’ve added the snippet – problem solved!

Will drop you a letter, though, JIC ??

    Hey, Charlie!

I hope you don’t mind, I’ve provided some instructions for people to be able to add responses to reviews.

Thank you for great plugin! ??
