Structured Data – Nothing works for removing it

    Hello,

    I have got some errors in my markup.

    I just want to completely remove the markup.

    Facts:
    – I am not sure what is adding the markup (Yoast, Woocommerce, …)
    – Client is using Woocommerce for a webpage that is NOT a shop (and nothing can be done regarding this)
    – Product markup is appearing in category pages

    I have tried many options:
    – Adding a filter in functions.php
    – Adding some functions to functions.php
    — From @Philipwoo
    — From this digital magazine
    — From a second digital magazine
    – Trying to manage it with a different plugin (Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP)
    – Trying to remove it with a third plugin (Remove Schema)

    Solutions have been applied one by one. Never two at the same time. I didn’t want to cause discrepancies.

    Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Using the filter add_filter( 'wpseo_json_ld_output', '__return_false' ); will disable Yoast schema entirely, which you have also tried. We are unable to provide feedback regarding other methods that you have tried.

    The errors you receive, such as Missing field “brand”, “description” or No global identifier provided (e.g., gtin, mpn, isbn) are not added by the Yoast SEO plugin. It is likely that using Woocommerce for a page that is not a shop is the cause.

    You can also temporarily disable the Yoast SEO plugin and see if there’s a difference

    Once Yoast SEO was desactivated, the errors stopped ocurring.

    Anyway, I used your filter and it seems it works now Yoast SEO is reactivated!
