Also, phone number is a required field. When phone is entered and submitted it still says “? You must fill in Phone Number.”

    Hey infobeckettgraphics,

Thanks for reaching out! I checked out your form and I was able to see both of those errors you mentioned (the ‘stripslashes()’ error and the phone number error). I tested things out in my account by adding a ‘Phone’ field with (###) ###-#### formatting and bringing that into my blog via the List Subscribe Form Plugin, and was able to replicate the “You must fill in Phone Number” validation error.

I’ve gone ahead and pushed this issue over to our Developers for further investigation. In the mean time, it looks like choosing ‘International’ format for that Phone field from within MailChimp does not result in any errors and the form submits successfully. You can make this change by going to that list in your MailChimp account > Settings > List fields and merge tags > changing the formatting for that Phone field to International > Save changes. You’ll want to make sure to update this in your plugin’s settings as well. This can be done by clicking the ‘Update List’ button then clicking the ‘Update Subscribe Form Settings’ button after you’ve ensured everything looks good.

With that said, I was not able to replicate the ‘stripslashes()’ error in my own account. I would recommend first resolving the phone number issue by modifying the settings I mentioned above to see if it resolves both errors.

If you are still seeing any issues after fixing up that Phone field and updating your plugin settings, feel free to reach back out with those details and I’ll be happy to give it another look.
