striper .js taking cc info but not connecting to stripe

  • I have received an email saying my stripe account is active. I have put in all the stripe API keys. I am using woocommerce POS. I can start the stripe in POS and put in my cc information for a live purchase, and it just hangs
    My authorize.net worked great, stripe did not. I like stripe better but have to use authorize.net

  • Can you try another plugin here that is not using stripe.js may be your woocommerce is conflicting with javascript or something

    stripe .js takes cc details creates token and sends back to checkout form and internally submits it so there can be a javascript error

    the new non js plugin generates the above…. but hangs up no action.

    That plugin has been working fine on other sites and should also work in here

    It seems the site has been customized to a great extent that could might have caused some misplace of things

    folks I have tried three free stripe plugins for woocommerce, all failed out of the box. Woothemes/woocommerce for stripe paid plugin worked great first time, the way it is supposed to. There is some problem with saving and a recalling a credit card, which is probably something to do with the non-woothemes POS. I suspect the recall of prior credit card component of the stripe plugin works on the main cart page, but did not test this functionality. Trying to get people to fix this is almost never successful… each plugin blames the other, probably a difficulty arising from woothemes not wanting to play nice with their competitors…why fix a non-wootheme problem?

    And by the way this is a very simple website. I have thirty products and basically woocommerce. I have turned off all non-essential plugins trying to make this work. The shark in the water is that web browsers now have all sorts of third party extensions that could interfere with dialogue with stripe. This raises the question as to whether wordpress has the capacity to solve the issues necessary to create a user friendly POS with credit card swipe, post-swipe tipping, etc.

    FYI the non woothemes POS you are talking is woocommerce if i am not wrong which is itself a Woothemes product that is free and all its addon are sold as paid version by woothemes

    Untill you ask plugin author to fix we never know what caused bug this is due to woothemes releasing new verision of woocommerce on 21 Sept 2015 and since they are author of their own plugin so that work and other developer of free plugins need time and support ( help in identifying) and then fixing it
