    Hello Dear,

    I am using WooCommerce Stripe Gateway version7.7.0 from last 18 month, but in the last 15 days it was not working fine . We connected with the developer who suggested to update the plugins, so i recently updated the stripe plugin to Version 9.2.0 also i update Woocomerce and WordPress to the latest version. Now i am trying to check the payment using test mode but it is giving error “Your card was declined. Your request was in live mode, but used a known test card.”
    Kindly suggest who to put the current strip version on test mode and test a payment.

    First, follow the instructions here to properly test your setup and connection: WooCommerce Testing Guide. Make sure you’re using the correct test cards listed here: Stripe Test Cards, as some are for declined transactions or specific countries.

    Also, try reconnecting your Stripe account, as your webhook may have expired or been regenerated.

    If the issue persists, go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and check for any fatal errors or Stripe-related issues. You can share the log using Pastebin for further analysis.

    Thank you for your prompt response on this, our issue has been fixed as of now.

    one more things as i want to know..we need to manual update order status on hold to processing or completed.. After successful payment the order status is shown in on hold in woocommerce ..

    Hi there,

    By default, WooCommerce should automatically update the order status to Processing for successful payments (except for virtual and downloadable products, which go to Completed).

    Could you please check the Order Notes for these orders? They might contain details on why the status is not updating.

    Also, please share a screenshot of the order notes for these orders. You can use the following tool to capture and share the screenshot: https://snipboard.io.

    Additionally, which payment method within Stripe are you using (e.g., credit card, SEPA, etc.)? The more infromaiton we have more accurelty we can assist you.

    In the meantime, could you please make sure the webhooks are configured properly? You can follow the instructions in this article to set them up:

    Hello Dear,

    Hi there!

    Thank you for sharing the screenshot. The order notes indicate that you have enabled the following option: “Issue an authorization on checkout, and capture later” in Stripe payment settings.

    If an order is placed while manual capture is enabled, the order will be assigned the “On Hold” status. To capture the authorized payment, you need to manually change the order status from “On Hold” to “Processing.”

    If you want to disable that feature, follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to?WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe > Settings.
    2. Scroll down to the?Payments & transactions?section.
    3. uncheck the box labelled?Issue an authorization on checkout, and capture later.
    4. Scroll to the bottom and click?Save changes.
