    Hi there,

    if the customer pays via Stripe SOFORT gateway, the payment status is “on hold” even after the payment is completed in Stripe.

    However the order should have the status “processing”, if the payment is completed.

    Why is this and how can this be fixed?

    In our experience, payments using Stripe SOFORT need some time to reflect, so the orders are not immediately marked as processing. In fact, Stripe’s documentation states that funds are not guaranteed until after 2 to 14 business days.

    Upon receiving confirmation that the payment has gone through, however, the order status should be automatically updated to “Processing.”

    Are you finding that orders using SOFORT are not moving to “Processing” at all? One way you can check is by looking at the notes for the order. Usually, it will say something like Stripe is awaiting capture of payment.
