Stripe paypment notification issue

    Hi

    I received a failed payment notification. Checked in Woo and the transaction had completely successsfully. The activity log and transaction detail did show there was an error, but the order completed anyway.
    I spoke with Stripe who looked at the transation and said the customer failed 3D Secure, but the customer then updated the payment intent. I guess this is what triggered a failed order email?

    This has happended a few time recently with different customers.

    Is it something I should try and fix, if so is the fix with Stripe or Woo. Any ideas as to what needs to be done?

    Hello @dipinto,

    I can see that the same problem was reported previously; however, none of the team members had any success in replicating the issue. One thing that was noted in the report is that the payment had a high-risk factor. Can you please confirm whether this is the case for the mentioned order as well?

    You should be able to find it in your Stripe dashboard.

    I’ve seen some cases where customers make several attempts before completing a payment.

    Stripe SCA authentication failed. Reason: The provided Payment Method has failed authentication

    That sounds like at the beginning there was an error and the SCA authentication failed, it is possible the customer ended up authenticating the application correctly, or perhaps they ended up using another card to complete the payment.
