    Hello,
The stripe link on the order post didn’t appear for an order, so my co-worker had to capture the payment from the Stripe portal. What could be the reason for the problem and how can I fix/prevent this issue?
    We’re using Version 7.4.1 currently.

  • Hi @yoonlaserwp23

The stripe link on the order post didn’t appear for an order, so my co-worker had to capture the payment from the Stripe portal. What could be the reason for the problem and how can I fix/prevent this issue? We’re using Version 7.4.1 currently.

From what I understand, you’re having a bit of trouble with the Stripe link not showing up on your order post. This led your co-worker to manually process the payment through the Stripe portal.

I’ve tried to replicate the problem you described on my own site, using the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, Stripe, and our free Storefront theme, with no other software running. However, I didn’t encounter the same issue.

There are a few reasons why this issue might be occurring. One possibility is that there could be a conflict with another plugin or theme that is interfering with the Stripe plugin’s functionality. Also, the issue could be linked to the version of the Stripe plugin you are currently using.

To resolve this issue, I recommend following these steps:

    1. Deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and Stripe to see if the issue persists. If it does not, reactivate each plugin one by one to identify the conflicting plugin.
    2. Switch your theme to a default theme like Storefront to check if the issue is theme-related.
    3. Update your Stripe plugin to the latest version. You mentioned that you are currently using version 7.4.1. The latest version available is 7.5.0, which may contain improvements and bug fixes that could resolve your issue.

To update the plugin, go to your WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Installed Plugins, find the Stripe plugin, and click ‘Update Now‘. If you don’t see an update option, you may need to manually update the plugin by downloading the latest version from the WordPress plugin repository and uploading it to your site.

Here’s a helpful guide on how to test for conflicts: ?? How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts

?? Just a quick reminder: Before you make any changes, we strongly recommend that you create a backup of your full site and database. This is a crucial step to ensure that in case anything goes wrong, you can easily restore your site to its previous, functioning state.

In case none of the above steps work, could you send us a copy of your site’s System Status? This will give us a clearer picture of your site’s setup and help us pinpoint the problem. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Additionally, could you also provide us with the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you have that, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com/ to paste it and share the link with us.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter. I’m looking forward to your response so we can solve this issue for you.
