Hi, we have put some rules in place on our stripe account to put transactions with an elevated risk for fraud into manual review in stripe.

The problem is that these charges in Woocommerce get the order status processing – like any normal transactions.

We would prefer to assign the order status on hold to these transactions. How can we do this?

    Hello there,

At the moment, the plugin is not yet capable of automatically marking orders as ‘On Hold’ when the order is held for review within Stripe. These would need to be manually marked as ‘On Hold’ if you wish to mark them as ‘Under Review’ within WooCommerce.

Stripe has a newer fraud service named Radar which appears to have some functionality built into the API. I will add a feature request to integrate the gateway with Radar in the future, but I cannot say if/when it will be implemented.

Hi, yes, we actually mean radar. A better solution would be to keep the status PENDING instead of changing it to PROCESSING if Stripe marks a payment as under review.

In that case, we could manually change an order status after reviewing the payment in stripe.

So only payments that are NOT put into review by Stripe Radar should actually be changed to processing. Those that are put under review should be treated as blocked payments, until the manual review is done.

The way this is setup right now, the behaviour is not as intended by stripe!

@rtw2005 – as Thomas indicated, he created a suggestion for it here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/261
