    Hi,

At the moment Stripe is available in 46 countries (according to their website).
If I connect to my site from Peru (which isn’t part of those supported countries), I still see the Stripe gateway.
Shouldn’t you hide the gateways that are not supported depending on the countries?
What would happen if a client tries to do a payment from such a country that isn’t supported by stripe yet?

    Hi there @goch,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The Stripe gateway will indeed appear regardless of the country you’re connecting from. WooCommerce doesn’t automatically hide payment gateways based on the user’s location.

What would happen if a client tries to do a payment from such a country that isn’t supported by stripe yet?

If a customer attempts to make a payment from a country not supported by Stripe, the transaction will not be successful, and they will be notified of this.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi there ??

Stripe is available to businesses in?40+ countries. With Stripe, you can accept all major debit and credit cards from customers in every country in 135+ currencies, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other?local payment methods, such as Alipay, iDeal or SEPA Direct Debit. Further details can be found linked here.

Just to note, as this is about online commerce, a bank account can be opened online, and get it connected with Stripe, for receiving the payments there — before transferring them to another, local, bank account if required.

    I hope this helps!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
