Hi, I can’t seem to get my credit card fields usable on my checkout page for Stripe and I’m not sure what’s the issue. A really thin line shows up instead of a usable form field and it’s not clickable. It’s the case for both desktop and mobile view.

Is there a way to fix this?

From what I understand, you’re having trouble with the credit card fields on your checkout page when you use the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway. You’ve described a thin line appearing instead of a form field, and this happens on both desktop and mobile views.

I’ve taken the time to check your site but was unable to replicate the issue you’re experiencing. This could suggest that the problem might be isolated to your specific setup.

Here are some steps you can take to fix this:

    1. Clear Cache and Cookies: Clear your browser’s cache and cookies. These can sometimes interfere with how pages are loaded.
    2. Disable Browser Extensions: If you have any browser extensions installed, try disabling them. Some extensions can interfere with how certain pages load.
    3. Make sure your plugins and theme are up to date: Keep your WooCommerce, Stripe Payment Gateway plugin, and your theme updated. Older versions can sometimes cause compatibility problems.
    4. Disable Plugins: Try disabling all your plugins except WooCommerce and Stripe to see if the issue persists. If the problem disappears, turn the plugins back on one at a time to identify the conflicting ones.
    5. Switch Themes: Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme like Storefront. If the issue is resolved, the problem might be with your current theme. Here’s a handy guide on testing for conflicts: ?? How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts.

If you’ve tried all these steps and the problem is still there, could you give us more details? It would be really helpful to know what browser and version you’re using, and if you’ve noticed this issue happening after a specific event, like updating a plugin.

We would also appreciate seeing your site’s System Status report. It can give us a clearer picture of your site’s setup and help us identify the problem. You can find the report under WooCommerce > Status. Choose Get system report and then Copy for support.

If there are any fatal error logs, please share those as well. You can find them under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you’ve collected this information, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com to paste it and share the link with us.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation in this matter! We’re here to help you get this sorted.

    Hi there,

I am having the same issue since a recent update. I have tried removing all plugins and using a default theme and still no luck.

Initially I thought it was our css causing the fields to shrink. I put in some css to restore them to their default heights, and they cannot be typed in.

The card entry fields also displays when selecting a stored card.

Nothing has changed on our site in months especially around checkout and we process a lot of orders through Stripe.

We have defaulted to PayPal while this is looked into.

    Hi there @johnu1988 ??

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this.

I, too, am unable to reproduce this, when visiting the Checkout page at https://wildeirishchocolates.com/checkout/.

Furthermore, the error logs are related to the currently activated theme.

Just to be sure, did you already have a chance to test with temporarily activating the Storefront theme (linked here), and see if the issue persists on your end, or otherwise?

Moreover, did you also have a chance to test with visiting from another device (if available), and Internet connection (if possible)?

    Hi there @wngadmin ??

We’d like to take a look at your report on a separate thread, since each store’s set up is unique.

    Hi @johnu1988,

    WooCommerce Product Add-ons

Thank you for providing the additional information. If I understand correctly, you’re referring to the Product Add-Ons by WooCommerce plugin as the one causing the issue. I’ve tried to replicate the problem on my end but wasn’t successful, which makes me believe that the issue might be specific to your setup.

Since Product Add-Ons by WooCommerce is a premium extension, it would be best if you could reach out to us directly, provided you have a valid license for this extension. To do this, kindly head over to ?? WooCommerce.com → My Account → Support. Remember, you might need to log into the account you used to purchase the extension to access this page.

?? Just a heads up, according to our ?? forum guidelines, we’re unable to offer support for premium extensions through this platform. But rest assured, our devoted team will be thrilled to help you out more once you contact us through the right channel.

Thanks for your understanding and patience. We can’t wait to assist you further!
