Stripe Error.You have passed a blank string for ‘card’.

  • Our client has noticed some orders are being marked as pending payment and the following is showing up on the orders notes:

    Stripe Error.You have passed a blank string for ‘card’. You should remove the ‘card’ parameter from your request or supply a non-blank value.

    The site is processing quite a few orders and if I had to guess around 5% of the orders get this error.

    The site is using the most latest version of the plugin, WordPress 4.6.1 and Woocommerce 2.6.4.

    The site get a lot of traffic so we are not in a position to switch themes. Most order do go through so I think it must be a small issue. Any suggestions?
