    Hi,
Forminator asked to use new restricted api keys. I do.
There is an issue with the Test Restricted API Key. The message is saying the key is non valid.
So I contact Stripe. They told me the issue is on your side because everything is correct when I enter the Standard Test key.
So my configuration is still today with the non restricted keys…
    What to do ?

    Regards

    Hi @cdhelin

I hope you’re well today and thank you for reaching out to us.

Restricted API Keys support is a very new keys and so far we didn’t have any such reports and we didn’t encounter this issue in QA tests before release.

I myself only configured them just now for the first time but I didn’t experience any issues either.

We’ll need to track down possible reasons so let me ask first: did you use Forminator Stripe App as recommended or did you generated those keys manually? If you didn’t use app, could you give it a try?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Adam,
the keys are coming from the Stripe dashboard. but I remembered I tried also with your Forminator Stripe App.
I will give a new try asap.
it wasn’t an easy journey to change the keys…

    Hi @cdhelin

I understand that this change is quite unexpected and may not be quite easy but, I’m afraid, it’s necessary as it’s Stripe’s requirement. Old-type keys should still work for some time but I have no idea for how long and they are, in general, less secure – Stripe is requesting the change and that’s why we had to implement that.

Please try with the Forminator Stripe APP anyway.

If that doesn’t work, please also check again manual creation but makes sure to follow this guide specifically

    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#manual-api-key-creation

paying special attention to the part about required permission (we’ve updated this part of docs a day or two ago to clarify the settings that work correctly as it was causing some confusion).

If none of that works for you, let us know and we’ll see what to check/do next.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
