Stripe 3D Secure SCA and Reverse Withdrawal
-
Hello,
I love your WCFM Marketplace and I think it’s the right tool for me.
I inquired at Stripe about the Payment Intent relating to the Direct Charge mode of the payment flow, this is active on WCFM when the 3D Secure SCA option is flagged.
In case of problems like credit card scams, for legal reasons related to the liability of the administrator and the vendor, this is the best level of security out there. As you already know, it is a system in force only in Europe since September 2019. At the moment it is not mandatory but it seems that it will become mandatory from next year 2021.Now, I have found the right configuration for the payments with the reverse withdrawal, the vendor is responsible for the sale and billing and a commission goes to the admin.
You already know that if I apply 3D Secure SCA the reverse withdrawal is no longer functional.
– Since this mode will become mandatory, it is important for me to know if you are planning to extend the use of 3D Secure SCA mode to reverse withdrawals. It is an important aspect for your entire European market, but not only for it…
– Finally, I ask you if you have an alternative idea or maybe there is another way to get all the amount that the buyer pays to the vendor’s Stripe account. This would do without the split payment function. In any case, the admin commission count should be kept, and only after a certain period of time, automatically apply the commission withdrawal from the vendor’s Stripe accounts. Considering also that it takes 7 days to move the money from the Stripe account.Maybe it’s a somewhat weird idea, but you know if it’s feasible, it could be a temporary solution.
I await your precious answer.Thanks
Regards
