    Hi rank math team!

As you know, we can remove the base name of the categories from the url. https://prnt.sc/cwYdkpq_CaTd

But this option only removes the category name from the posts. So is there a way we can remove category name from products or custom post type in addition to posts?
If this is not possible now, is it possible to add this feature in the future?

    thank you

    Hello @hoseinkh,

Thank you for contacting our support today and bringing your concern to our attention.

Assuming that you are using WooCommerce, to remove the category slug in your products, you can do so by enabling the option “Remove category base” in WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Woocommerce:
    https://i.rankmath.com/ZsjecB

As for the custom post types, when enabling the option “Strip Category Base” in Rank Math > General Settings > Links, should also apply to the CPT categories.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello @mehdimoradi7172 and @hoseinkh,

Our plugin only removes the base of the post categories and product categories. The options will not work for the category base of the CPTs. You will have to remove the base from the CPT settings or use a dedicated permalink manager plugin.

Hope that clarifies your doubts. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch in case you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.
