• Hello,

When I create a new form with CF7 in French, some fields are not translated:

Please fill in the required field.
-> Should be “Veuillez compléter ce champs.”

    This input is too long.
-> Should be “Ce champs est trop long.”

    This input is too short.
-> Should be “Ce champs est trop court.”

  • See Contact Form in Your Language for more details on language translation.

It’s possible that some items have not been translated by the translation volunteers. The above link shows how you can contribute to this if you wish.

In the mean time to fix the problem on an individual CF7 form you could edit the individual messages you want to display in the CF7 Messages tab.

    1) These strings are missing in the fr_FR .PO file.

    – Please fill in the required field.
    is replaced by:
    Please fill the required field.

    – This input is too long.
    text or equivalent not found

    – This input is too short.
    text or equivalent not found

    2) They are only in the following MO files : de_DE, he_IL, hu_HU, ja, nl_NL, pt_PT, ru_RU, sv_SE, tr_TR. They are missing in the others. I believe it’s why they are not translated in the corresponding languages, French for example.

    Up !

    My message above is important.

Up? Do I have to do something?
Cant the author update CF7 with these translations ?? ?

Kreeger, for now you can translate the phrases that are in english by following davmerit advice.

I’m no expert, but it seems to me that the .MO and .PO files are missing some sentences. It’s why they are not translated on the front-end. The author needs to correct these files. I don’t know how to do it, otherwise I would have modified them myself.
