    Hi,
I’m getting an error when trying to connect to Stream from the admin plugin page. See error message below. I upgraded the plugin yesterday and was able to connect OK but not now.
“There was a problem verifying your site with Stream. Please try again later.

Stream API Error. Operation timed out after 5000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.”

    Regards
    Michael

  • Same here:
“Stream API Error. Operation timed out after 5001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.”

This seems to have started after the migration to the Cloud.

When it works, it’s great! But, it seems to be having a lot of API errors at the moment, so I can’t always see what’s in the Stream.

I just upgraded to the Pro account and got more API errors. The Stream screen in WP told me to try disconnecting and re-connecting. Unfortunately, I cannot reconnect, now. I get this:
“There was a problem verifying your site with Stream. Please try again later.

Stream API Error. Operation timed out after 5001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.”

Now, it’s working again. Seems to be very flaky, though.

I just got the error as well (9:15am PT)

“Stream API Error. Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.”

I spoke to soon. I’d say that it throws up this error 9 times out of 10. Very frustrating. I haven’t been able to look at the Stream since early this morning, as it’s been down all afternoon.

Are you guys doing something to fix this?

If anyone’s interested, I’m using “Activity Monitor” which is pretty rock-solid. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles as Stream – but it works! Also, I like the fact that it shows what username & password combination people tried when they fail to login. This allows me to see patterns, as hackers try to hack.

“Stream API Error. Operation timed out after 5008 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.”

Really unhappy with this newest update of Stream, to be honest.

Hey everyone! We are currently investigating these timeout errors that are appearing for some users. We will keep you up to date here with the status.

I finally gave up on Stream. It went from those infuriating timeouts to just returning no results, then it said there was an error connecting to my account and to remove the connection and connect again, but when I tried that it came back with “There was a problem verifying your site with Stream. Please try again later.” I was able to delete my subscription, but it won’t let me delete my site — when I type in the site URL in your delete confirmation dialog box, it says the site doesn’t exist, but it does, and I’m typing it in correctly. So I just threw my hands up and cursed for 2-1/2 minutes in Spanish. Keep the $2.

I also notice all issues described by ctotogo. I am sure WP Stream awesome team is gonna to solve everything soon.

    I trust you guys ??

    Cheers
    Francesco

Our Stream integration is completely broken. We tried to disconnect and reconnect, but cannot reconnect since our login is with Stream and not WordPress.com. We have reported this issue to Stream 24 hours ago but no word from them. Support is very lacking – and we even paid for membership!
    Buyer beware!

Hi seamtv. I just found your emails, replying now. Sorry for the mix up!
