I have a peculiar little box that started showing up in my footer material a week or so ago. I use veryplaintext. The box seems to be coming from some code that is at the very end of whatever page its on – it’s the very last item in the footer information. I can’t figure out which page to find it in so I can determine which stray code wound up in there and edit it out. Can anyone help? If you want to look to see what I’m referring to, it’s at https://www.managingleadership.com/blog Just scroll down to the bottom. Thanks!

That (link broke for claritys sake) looks like it some stat thing, since it picked up the referer. If its in your theme files, it ought to be in footer.php.

If not, its something that Yahoo is adding, are you hosted on Yahoo?

The box, btw, is because the image in the code is missing.

whooami – thanks. Yes, I am hosted on Yahoo. Should I try to find the file that has the code you found and delete it or edit it somehow? Or should I try to find the image and point the code to it somehow?

    Thanks again!

Hey There — I Too Yahooo and had same problem.
After finding your post — and reading I remembered
I could simply disable the YAHOO Stats plugin
which can be done through your main wordpress
control panel under (plugins) (deactivated yahoo stats) little grey box is now gone —

I had already manually shed the yahoo button images

I don’t mind advertising for yahoo — just want to
have control over if when and where —

You can always go with more advanced Stats Program
    (yahoo helpfully recommends one) <yikes!>

    Hope This Helps
