I’ve checked your page yesterday and today, and I haven’t seen anything strange.

Does this error happen with any browser? It might be a browser-related problem.

Have you tried with jCarousel instead of StepCarosuel? It may be a StepCarousel-related problem.

I updated the version of StepCarousel (from 1.8 to 1.9) in WP Carousel 1.0. You can try to download an older reelase of WP Carousel and replace the js/stepcarousel.js file of the latest WP Carousel release.

If it worked with WP Carousel 0.5, I suggest you to download WP Carousel 0.5 and replace the file js/stepcarousel.js. If it fixes the problem, it is an StepCarousel 1.9 error.

    Thanks for reporting!

    Hi, thx for your response.

After testing differents browser, the problems happend only on chroome and firefox, but not on I.E or safari.

    so it’s a browser issue.
but I’have look at the demo page of wp-carousel, and it does not happen at all. may be an older version of step-carousel, I will test it later.

I’ve seen this issue too, in Firefox (haven’t tested other browsers). Open a page in a browser tab with an autoscrolling carousel on it. Then open a new tab in the same browser window and browse around the web for about five minutes. Then go back to the original tab, and the carousel is going wild, scrolling quickly and seemingly randomly.

It is almost as if it counts how many seconds you were on the other tab, and when you return, it tries to display all the normal auto-scrolling behavior that you “missed,” only all at once.

I know that this is not a good answer, but the problem will be solved in next release of WP Carousel: StepCarousel will not be part of WP Carousel.

Due to license incompatiblities with GPL, I can’t use Dynamic Drive’s scripts, like StepCarousel if I want WP Carosel to be hosted on www.remarpro.com.

WP Carousel offers an alternative GPL-licensed script: jCarousel, so the carousels will continue working. Furthermore, next version of WP Carousel will include other GPL-license script to create carousels that will allow you to use new animations and unique looks.

If this behaviour does not happen with jCarousel, then the problem will be solved.
