Strange Warnings

    The plugin was and is working fine but since several weeks I get strange warnings when I visit my site. These warnings start like:

    Warning Illegal string offset ‘id’ in /var/www/l26f451/html/indienblog/wp-content/plugins/video-embed-thumbnail-generator/video-embed-thumbnail-generator.php on line 1726
    Warning array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, string given in /var/www/l26f451/html/indienblog/wp-content/plugins/video-embed-thumbnail-generator/video-embed-thumbnail-generator.php on line 1763
    Warning Illegal string offset “url” in /var/www/l26f451/html/indienblog/wp-content/plugins/video-embed-thumbnail-generator/video-embed-thumbnail-generator.php on line 1774

    After seconds the lines vanish and the start screen pops up like expected. What went wrong? If I look up my blog on some search engines I get these warnings instead of the site descriptions.

    Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It’s a bug caused by an unexpected return from your site, most likely related to the AJAX loading effect. I’ll fix this ASAP. I’ve created an issue on GitHub so you can track my progress with it.

    I appreciate your interest in the issue and your efforts towards updating to resolve it.

    My site also appears to have the same issue, or very similar. The video appears with thumbnail and plays correctly, but the warnings are disconcerting.

    Site is using WordPress 4.8.2, PHP Version : 7.1.10 / 64Bit OS, Memory limit : 192 MB and is based on a tested StudioPress Genesis theme.

    There is no pop-up on the page, just the plain embed below.

    Below are my warnings. They do not vanish and are present as long as the page is presented.

    I downloaded the updated file from the GitHub and uploaded into the plugin on the site. The problem of the warnings is resolved.

    I just released version 4.6.18, which should solve this problem. Please let me know if it doesn’t.

    Thanks for the help. I updated to 4.6.18 and couldn’t see any warnings yet. So I think this problem is solved.
