I recently set up a staging site with a paid theme that uses this Bold Builder. While working with it locally, everything seemed fine. However, when I moved this staging site to a live server to allow my team to work with it, I ran into an issue.

Every time I opened a Bold Builder options block, then closed the block, then tried to update the Page, GoDaddy hit me with a firewall block.

As I am comfortable looking at the shortcodes, I switched editor to the basic editor, and noticed some of the values in the shortcodes had had something added to them:
    %$%%$%%$%%$%
This bit of text would show up after the value but within the quotes, such as align="inherit%$%%$%%$%%$%"

When I reached out to GoDaddy about this situation, they said something about flushing the firewall cache and now I should be able to update pages. Sure, okay, that might remove the block on my IP, but….

That doesn’t help with the fact that each time I open a Bold Builder Options window, this strange value is being inserted. Any idea where this is coming from and how I can fix/stop/remove it? My team is not as adept at working in the shortcodes (and shouldn’t have to remove this value every time they want to update something) – I want to make sure they can work with the visual aspect and not have to worry about being blocked by the host for “attempted security filters evasion”…

At first I thought this strange value was coming from the demo pages I had imported and repurposed. But I just built a new page from scratch using the Bold Builder, opening rows and columns Options windows and saving changes in them, and still managed to have this strange value inserted.

It seems to be most common after align="inherit%$%%$%%$%%$%" or size="medium%$%%$%%$%%$%"but I have also seen it added after order="0" and padding="normal" among other default options.

Trying to search for this value doesn’t seem to get me anywhere so I can’t even deduce what it is pretending to be or why it would be added to an option value.

Yes, as far as I can tell, everything is up to date.

I will try submitting a ticket through the site. But wanted to bring this up here in case others may have the same issue.
