  • Hi @banther,

It seems that your domain is the default virtual host on a shared server. A reverse IP domain check also shows the 2 other domains you mentioned.

These requests are likely to be password reset 0-day exploit attempts

Please inform your hosting provider so they can look into the issue and fix it.

    Hi @wfyann
Thanks for your reply. I will contact them. I purchased and installed an SSL certificate the other day, so I should have a dedicated IP

It seems like you have seen this before or are familiar? Where does this come from and what causes it?

They tell me that these are leftover domains that do not exist anymore. They redirect to me because i am the only one on this IP. They are unable to just remove them so I am stuck with seeing these domains. The hosting company confirms I am on a dedicated IP

Guess I am stuck with this

    Hi @banther,

These other domains redirect to your site because it is the default virtual host on the server; this is definitely something your hosting provider should be able to (and should) fix.

As you already found out, this generates unwanted/irrelevant traffic which in turn can increase the bandwidth your site consumes.
