strange title included in permalink by post name

    I figured this one out. There was an old slug left on the home page that was being inherited by all the pages using it as a parent. The slug was not visible on the home page because it was set up as static in the reading settings. So I just took away its static status and then I could edit the permalink after selecting the “page name” option in the permalink settings. No idea how that text got captured there in the first place though.
