Strange Text Styling Issue: Ideas Please

Hey Guys,

Have just had my site migrated to a VPS and Updated to 2.7.

However we are having this strange for want of a better word, “characters” appear randomly through out published articles all through the site. It looks like a question mark! And I am tired of manually removing them!!!

My dev dude has dropped the database into a text cleaner of some sort however alas to no avail, so here I am soliciting solutions. Please have a look and let me know. All ideas are welcome!
