I have a strange problem that only occurs on the admin side. I didn’t do anything on the site, and after the last login, it turned out that when switching between the functions of the WPAIOWS plugin, it sometimes redirects me to a subpage whose url ends with %3f, e.g. wp-admin/admin.php%3f. I can’t find any regularity in this – sometimes this piece of url “sticks” when I enter the “recaptcha” option and sometimes “brute force” and sometimes “firewall”. Adding this ending to the url causes me to redirect to a non-existent page or a page with a redirection loop. Disabling the WPAIOWS plugin and clearing the cache resolves the issue. I have the plugin in the latest version. Do you have an idea what the problem could be?

    Hi @tekstura1977

It seems ? character in url encoded to %3F, It is not the general case and AIOS plugin do not change from ? to %3F.

URL should be like wp-admin/admin.php?page=aiowpsec_firewall&tab=additional-firewall while moving from one tab to another or one menu to another or AIOS plugin for example Firewall > Additional firewall rules , Brute force > Captcha settings etc

Also one thing you mentioned is cache why admin panel required cache?

it is dynamic pages and should not use cache. Please make sure by disabling one by one another plugin ( first with cache plugin it is not making issue)

Thank You for quick response. Yes- You’re right – it was not the problem coused by AIOWS. About cache: I’ve meant clearing cache after disabling plugin (wp rocket plugin always want it). But in the end it looks that problem was either a plugin which generated social sharing buttons or php version – because I changed php from 8.1 to 8.2 meantime. Everything is OK now so I stopped investigation. Now I understand that the problem with encoding “?” caused problems with using secret word in brute fore function – because it always goes like “/?….=1”
