• I recently (yesterday/over the weekend) tried upgrading php, apache and mysql on my server.
right now, the server is running apache 1.3.33, php 4.3.x, and mysql 3.23.54 – i was trying to go to apache 1.3.36, php 4.4.x and mysql 4.x.x, after the upgrade everyhting seemed to run fine EXCEPT wordpress which would cause the httpd child process for the request to seg fault, xoops runs fine, phpBB runs fine, plus a ton of other things, all old WP sites have the same problem, the only thing I can think of is that it’s some kind of issue with mod_frontpage and/or mod_rewrite, but I’m not sure. Are there any known issues anyone knows about with wordpress and any of the version’s I was trying to upgrade to ?
one of the sites is https://www.hradil.us – my personal site, i have a couple of WP installs on that one, plus xoops, phpBB, mediawiki, phpAdds, and other things, I’ve switched back to the old versions for now, since I have a number of client sites on the box which use WP, and when you try to load the pages it just comes up blank (even the ones not using permalinks, so i guess the mod_rewrite theory isn’t worth much). I did try to start up a new install of WP under the new platform and it seemed to be working OK, but it was getting close to the time this AM where I needed the client sites to be back online, so i swithced back to the old versions. it seems like it’s an apache or php issue not anything to do with mysql, since I was able to load/use the sites using mysql 4.x.x with the old apache/php. ps. i’m using mod_php compiled as a static object.

    thanks..chris
