• So I decided to change the email address associated with my account and the password as well as the name of my site. Many reasons for doing this but one reason was that I was shutting down the old email address associated with my WordPress site. I made the changes and all should have been good.
Problem was, the WordPress system sent a confirmation email… TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS THAT I DISCONTINUED. Now, I can’t access the confirmation email and I can’t access my WordPress site anymore.
Think I could find a ‘contact us’ phone number to speak to a human being? No. So I’m really stuck. Any feedback, any help would be appreciated.

  • WordPress is free software and this free, volunteer-staffed forum is the only support resource available via www.remarpro.com.

I assume you are referring to your login for these forums and not for your own site, yes?

OK. I am paying for a wordpress.com-free address, but not a lot. I’m glad we have support here and appreciate you helping with this.

I am having no problem logging onto this forum because I’m on now and because I created a new user name and password in order to log on here to look for help and support.

I am locked out of my own blog site.

You’re on the wrong forums. Try here

And of course, I can’t log into that site now. I’m surprised how difficult they make this site. Maybe I’ll move to another.

This site is not related to that site – your login is totally unrelated. There’s an account recovery process there – see the last part of this page:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

If worse comes to worse, create a new user account there and ask them for help. We can’t do anything to help directly on a WordPress.COM site.

    Thank you. I appreciate that.
