    Hi,

since the last update I have this problem.

Whenever I add or edit a post, the notification “It looks like you’ve added a new taxonomy to your website. We recommend that you review your Search appearance settings.” appears.
To consider that I have not changed anything, I have only updated your plugin to the latest version.
The notification disappears after viewing the page to which the notification redirects, but reappears whenever I edit or add a post.

    Some advice?

    Thanks in advance!

    Francus

    Hello @bosendorfer & @sandalsand

Thanks for reaching out about the strange notification. It would be helpful if you could send us screenshots of the issue so that we can understand it better.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Hi. How to upload a screenshot here?
Anyway, a screenshot does not give more information than the notification @bosendorfer already quoted: “It looks like you’ve added a new taxonomy to your website. We recommend that you review your Search appearance settings.”

    This is the notification message.
Clicking on the link takes you to the taxonomy page and the notification disappears without taking any action.
But editing or adding a post/page it comes back again.

We have seen this notice appear for sites where the previously optimized data is invalid or when there is a plugin or theme conflict. We’ll start with a reset of the optimization to ensure we’ve cleared out previously optimized data. You may be hesitant to reset data, but we can assure you that this does not undo any of the hard work you’ve done when it comes to the SEO of your content.

Can you please try resetting our indexables in the database tables by following the steps below?

    1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “SEO Data Optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your pages.

Does this resolve the notification issue?

    Hi @suascat_wp ,

I’ve tried the routine that you kindly exposed in a local installation and unfortunately the problem persists.

If it helps the investigation, the problem manifested itself on the only two sites where I updated your plugin (for the others, I’m waiting for clarity).
Both sites are based on Divi and Polylang.
And in both sites, in addition to the problem in question, the translation strings of the meta description have been lost with the update to 19.11.

I hope you can find a solution to the problem because it seems I’m not the only one.
And, I repeat, it happened to me on two completely different sites, the ones I updated.

For now, I’ve solved it by hiding the notification, but it’s a bit like sweeping dust under the rug.

    Thanks in advance,

    Francus
