Strange Login Issue

  • In my recent WordPress project im using elementor as my page builder everything went well put after a while i couldn’t login any more with the user that i made all the work with and every other user works fine I recently made some changes to my WordPress page with another account and the issue happened to the other account as well, and now I’m unable to log in.

    i reset the passwords using PhpMyAdmin it works put the next day the issue repeats

    i made the conclusion that this happens when i edit the website the user gets this issue and all others work fine

    Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue? Thank you!

  • That is very unusual. Some plugin or some code in your theme or even some malware can be responsible for this. Since there is no actually utility of such a thing, I suspect the site could have been infected.

    You can try to disable a plugin that you may suspect can be doing it.

    Otherwise, carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures and start backing up your site.

    I’m on the process of troubleshooting by testing each plugin

    but note that as i reset my password for the any user i find this new user “wp-import-user” with the email address “[email protected]”

    i don’t know if any of there information can help or this is normal behavior

    This is NOT normal behavior. As of now, your site has a backdoor that is letting someone malicious execute actions on your website. Even if you find the culprit plugin, you can’t be sure its all fixed. So follow through with that guide I suggested in the previous response.
