Strange Index Page Title Tag

    Hi Guys,

    Good Day, I would like to ask question about my title tag in my home page. Here’s an example of my title tag (just to demostrate).

    Home Title | Site Name

    But after a few months I found out that my title in the google is something like this.

    Site Name: Home Title

    How to fix this?

    Hi Genzki,

    Can you provide the URL to your site. Bear in mind that Google doesn’t have to display the title you provide, they have been generating their own titles and displaying them in SERPS.

    Hi Genzki,

    When did you change your title for the homepage? I ask because Google has not updated the index for that page since September 20th, 2013. So if you changed your title since September 20th then Google has not yet recrawled that page and has not yet updated their index with your new title.

    You can use Google Webmaster Tools to resubmit the page to them.

    If you want to check when Google last updated their index, perform a Site search and then click Search Tools and select an option from the dropdown Any Time.

    Sir but I did not change my title tag. I dont know why it happened.

    The title tag on your site is this –
    <title>Omaha Nebraska Trucking Company | National Freightways</title>

    When did you set that as your title tag? Was it after September 20th?

    honestly, its been <title>Omaha Nebraska Trucking Company | National Freightways</title> seen we lunch this site.

    It was before Sept. 20

    Hi Genzki,

    All you can do is resubmit your homepage to Google using Google Webmaster Tools and wait until they update their index.
