    My logs are quickly filling up with this error, about 10MB/min.

    Does anyone know what may be causing this?

    I tried disabling and re-enabling all of my plugins one by one, it stopped for a while then just started again.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!

    Best Regards,

    Chris

  • Really just a guess here, but – it looks like a scheduled event might be running from your admin account.

    I have never used this particular plugin, but it might help you identify which of your plugins might be scheduling and running the event. Note the schedule and argument references in your log..

    Hello
    I’m facing the same issue.

    Did you manage to solve it?

    Thank you

    To whom it may concern and interest.

    I found what was causing this issue. It’s the plugin Registration Magic.
    I commented line 963 on wp-content/plugins/custom-registration-form-builder-with-submission-manager/includes/class_registration_magic.php and the issue disappeared.

    I than installed a cron to run twice a day to perform the function clean_user_online_status and our site is running smoothly as never before.

    Hope this information can help anyone who has this problem.

    Thanks a bunch! I am checking this now!

    Hi There

    I too am having the same error occurring an its slowing my site down.

    I have however removed Registration Magic – But am still seeing the error.

    How can i get around this? Any thoughts?

    Ive got to the bottom of this.

    The plugin had added 66669 cron jobs to the wp_options table in the DB. On every page load WP was trying to parse this table causing long page load times.

    Removed the plugin, trimmed the array in the database and hey presto the site runs and load in a sensible time!

    Think i’l be finding an alternative plugin!

    I have tried to run the SQl command UPDATE wp_options SET option_value = ” WHERE option_name = ‘cron’; and it says 0 rows effected but I go into the WP-Cron Events with that plugin and there are thousands of them there. How do i get rid of them?

    Sergio Rosa what cron line did you use to schedule twice a day to do the same function?

    Hi,
    after running the command

     UPDATE wp_options SET option_value = '' WHERE option_name = 'cron';
    if you run

    SELECT * from wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘cron’;
    you should get an output relatively small. This indicates that the UPDATE was done and the crons removed from DB.

    You should check if you’re not using some type of object cache, like REDIS or MEMCACHED, because it would keep in cache the transients. I had that issue as I’m running REDIS.

    I flushed the object cache and than ended with 26 crons on the website.

    It says: Showing rows 0 – 0 (1 total, Query took 0.0005 seconds.) however I am not running any cache I disabled and uninstalled w3 total cache after issues. I even cleared my temp internet files and went back in and I still see thousands of entries calling for twicedaily “clean_user_online_status” a date and non-repeating

    @rgarrison
    I use the plugin Advanced Cron Manager to “manage crons”

    With that plugin, after I removed/commented the line on the plugin commented line 963 on wp-content/plugins/custom-registration-form-builder-with-submission-manager/includes/class_registration_magic.php and the issue disappeared.

    wp_schedule_single_event(time(),'twicedaily','clean_user_online_status');

    I create a cron to run twice a day invoking the function clean_user_online_status

    Do you have
    define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true);
    on your wp-config.php? You should change it, I think, to TRUE while doing this operations.

    I was able to disable cron with the line addition to the wp_config.

    I was also able to comment out that line so it wont create any more of these.

    With advanced crong manager I go to the cron events and there are 261,410 entries of this stupid job twice daily. I can’t find a way to delete them this is what has been slowing this site down forever.
