Strange code on site and dashboard

I just install a new wp after trying to upload it via ftp and now I have weird code showing up on my dashboard and on my site.

I was originally trying to point it to a database from a previous site to save some pages and posts. The installation overrode the sql database, but I still have the desired db on my desktop.
