Strange characters showing up like a€?, ? – Any advise?

  • Hi. For some reason an older WP site using 2.5.1 is now showing strange characters everywhere. Mainly were a sentence ends and where an apostrophe was.

    There were no modifications on the site in 2 years! They just appeared for some reason long after the site was launched.

    Charset is set to utf8 in wp-config. Any advise?
