• My client website have Yoast SEO installed and activated. Strange that it shows the path of the current page on the top of the page. Trying to deactivate it and it will go. So I wonder if there is any special settings inside the settings doing this? Or any related filter will put something on that page?

    In terms of code, it is placed somewhere here:

    ...</title>
    /news/	<meta name="description...

    Hello @simongcc

    Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. It’d be helpful if you could share the URL of the affected page and what you were trying to achieve before encountering the issue, as the problem isn’t clear enough.

    We look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi @maybellyne,

    Thanks for your prompt reply. The client site is https://cryolife.com.hk/. If you would like to access the site for investigation, please provide a means for private contact so that I might be able to pass the credential to you.

    Thanks for sharing the URL. We do not accept website login details. I can see the trailing slash on the top left of the homepage. So can you let me know what you are trying to achieve? You may want to walk backwards by undoing any code changes you may have made

    Hello @maybellyne ! I haven’t made any changes to the code, but I’m trying to remove the path (for example, /news/ in https://cryolife.com.hk/news) as it’s more than just a trailing slash. Essentially, it’s showing the path of the current page. I’d love to disable this feature in Yoast SEO, and interestingly, when I deactivate Yoast SEO, the path disappears. So, I’m thinking there might be a feature or setting causing this display when Yoast SEO is activated.

    Would you have any ideas about this, perhaps something related to Yoast SEO like filters or actions that could be impacting the rendering of that part of the HTML? I’m eager for your suggestions. Thanks a lot!

    This page has/news/ in the top left corner. In the page source, I see this line of code added to the <head> section:

    <meta name="/news/" content="test123">

    There’s clearly some testing going on, on your site; this could only happen because you have tried adding custom code to your theme somewhere. That’s why I mentioned walking backwards to undo changes. The code couldn’t have appeared because you activated the plugin, as it’s not a meta tag added by the plugin.

    Let me check if I could do anything because the client has found someone to custom their code before instead of our crews before coming to us so we did not have any clues nor could we undo anything.

    Thanks for your time.
