• This is just a ‘for your information’.

I had not updated my site for several months and updated various plugins today. IP Geo Block was the third one updated (I did the updates manually, one-at-a-time). When I tried to update a fourth plugin, I go the following error message:

Update Failed: Error thrownCall to a member function dirlist() on null

I tried another plugin to update and that didn’t work. I then tried accessing My-Site/wp-admin, and that failed also. I then ssh’ed to the server, did a rm -rf of wp-contents/plugins/ip-geo-block and everything was back to normal. I then reinstalled IP Geo Block without any problems.

Seems strange and just wanted to let you know.

    Hi @groston,

I’m sorry about this trouble. It must be related WP_Filesystem that may be indirectly used by this plugin.

I’ll keep open this topic and investigating the issue.
    Thanks for the information!
